Special Invitation to Wives of Pastors
Thursday, October 21 at 4:30-6:00pm – Copper Top III
Wives of pastors are invited to gather to reconnect, relax, meet new friends, and enjoy hors d’oeuvres and wine/beverages. Our special guest will be Valerie Matyas. She is the wife of a pastor, a mom of four, and currently teaches 7/8th grade at Immanuel Lutheran School in Frankentrost, MI. As a Visual Faith™ Ministry Classroom Coach, she will encourage us to literally draw closer to Him through creative reflection and explore ways to open faith-sharing doors with our family, congregation and neighbors.
We are in for a treat as we are enjoy time together!
A Special Event for Children and an Accompanying Parent
Wednesday, October 20th at 4:00pm – Copper Top II
Children and a parent are invited to a special event led by Valerie Matyas. Families will have fun learning how to read, reflect and respond creatively to God’s Word using a desktop calendar and colored pencils around the family dinner table.
Please let the District Office know how many children/parents will participate so we can be prepared with adequate supplies.
Valerie Matyas is a Visual Faith™ Ministry Classroom Coach and currently teaches 7/8th grade at Immanuel Lutheran School in Frankentrost, MI. Valerie is passionate about supporting and encouraging professional church workers and laity in their personal devotional and prayer lives. She seeks to encourage God’s people, of all ages, to literally draw closer to Him through creative reflection and loves to develop tools to open these faith-sharing doors for her family and others.
