Attending CMU in Grand Junction this fall?  Come worship with us!  We are the Lutheran Church and School of Messiah, located two blocks south of Huston Hall at 840 N. 11th Street.  Saturday night blended service at 5:00pm, Sunday morning Traditional Services at 8:00 and 10:30, and Bible class at 9:15.  You are always welcome! University Lutheran Chapel

The University Lutheran Chapel at the University of Colorado, Boulder is currently being renovated.  The project began with demolition to the interior of the student center in June 2104.  Since then, renovations continue as the interior will be upgraded with new floor space, lighting, kitchen, student study area, lounge area and much more.  See below the progress to date.

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Mark Seifrid is a professor of Exegetical Theology at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. A faculty member since 2015, he earned a Doctor of Philosophy in New Testament from Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton, N.J. (1990); and a Master of Divinity and a Master of Arts from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Ill. (1984). He also holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Illinois in Champaign (1975). He has published major works on justification in the New Testament and a commentary on 2 Corinthians, and is currently writing a commentary on Galatians. He has published numerous articles on Pauline theology and the doctrine of justification — in particular articulating a Lutheran view of justification as drawn from the Pauline Epistles. He taught New Testament interpretation at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky., for more than two decades. He also served as the Ernest and Mildred Hogan Chair in New Testament Interpretation at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

 Retired Rocky Mountain District Educators (RRMDE)

 

A Reformation Luncheon for the Retired Rocky Mountain District Educators (RRMDE) will take place on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Cinzzetti's Italian Market, Northglenn, CO.  The retired educators meet at 11:30 am for fellowship, growth, service, and mutual support.  The Lutheran Hispanic Missionary Institute (LHMI) will be the featured presentation.  Our service action for this luncheon will offer financial support for this LCMS Recognized Service Organization.
