The apostle Peter calls us "living stones being built up..." by God Himself. There's no doubt God is a master builder! He forms and fashions, reworks and refines in a masterful way, often by repurposing the trials and tribulations we face in our everyday ministry vocations by His Word and Spirit.

This year our conference theme "One Stone at a Time" steps back briefly looking at how God uses you to build others: your congregation, your students, your community and takes a moment to focus on how God is building you up. He does this work patiently as we await the return of our Lord (James 5).

He does this work one day at a time, one sermon, one class, one visit, one conversation at a time. We're the ones hurrying about trying to scale an entire mountain in one day. All the while, God is patiently and meticulously building you, as well as your people, co-workers and students. In our conference this year we're pausing, taking a breath and looking at the many ways God builds us. Through His ways we are informed on how we can engage our ministry vocations joyfully. The best for those we serve and the best for ourselves. No surprise it's what Jesus teaches us too! "Sufficient to the day is the evil therein...do not worry about tomorrow." (Matthew 6).
