“The gospel must be preached afresh & told in new ways to each generation since every generation has its own unique questions. The gospel must constantly be forwarded to a new address because the recipient is repeatedly changing his place of address.”
- Helmut Thielicke
The 2020 Educator's Conference is Something NEW - A Hybrid Experience
Sadly, we will not be gathering at Beaver Run this year, but we are excited about a program full of great content and a new approach.
Together? We hope that church and school staffs will gather together as they are able to participate in the fellowship and learning opportunities. We will be providing materials to be used by staffs and leaders gathered together to engage with the content.
On your own? For those educators who do not serve with a larger staff, we encourage you to gather with other DCEs, ministry leaders, and emeritus educators to engage face to face as you feel safe doing so. Please indicate on single participant registration form if you wish to gather with other educators. We will connect you with others seeking a group and provide materials for discussion and connection.
Virtually together? For those participants who wish to connect virtually only, we'll have an online moderator to get you connected.
REGISTRATION is open!

CONFERENCE SPEAKERS
KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Andrew McPeak
Generation Z Unfiltered: Facing the Hidden Realities in the Most Anxious Population
Early Childhood Mega-Sectional Speaker: Mary Wolfinbarger
Mary Wolfinbarger brings the powerful perspective of an “in the trenches” Lutheran preschool professional to this year's event. Mary, a Lutheran preschool director in California, is passionate about a preschool that shares Christ with their community by ministering to families and providing a nurturing, developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children. Mary will be sharing training she helped to design for preschool teachers in Lutheran schools that aims to “Make Jesus Real” for children, families, and staff.
Mary's sessions will be offered LIVE during the general session times when Andrew McPeak is also presenting. Andrew's presentations will be available to all registrants following the event to view on demand for TWO WEEKS following the event, so your early childhood staff can choose to watch or rewatch general event sessions and benefit from all the content shared.
Session 1 - Making Jesus Real: Mission
Session 2 - Making Jesus Real: Law/Gospel and Baptism
Session 3 - Making Jesus Real: Sharing Best Practices in Early Childhood
Bible Study Leader: Pastor Tim Ahlman
Study of the Word and spiritual encouragement will be led in this year by Pastor Tim Ahlman. Tim Ahlman is a 3rd generation LCMS pastor currently serving at Christ Greenfield in Gilbert, AZ. Tim is passionate for Jesus, for building teams, and building people with a robust belief that everything God needs to accomplish His mission is found "in the house." Tim loves Lutheran schools. LCMS administrators and teachers are gifts from Jesus. Tim is excited to be serving and learning with the fantastic Rocky Mountain District leaders!
