DESCRIPTION:Do you want to get more out of your devotional life and Bible study?\nDo you need CEUs (Continuing Education Units) for your work or professional development? \nYou are invited to the Concordia Seminary\, St. Louis’ Prof Insights: Faculty-Led Workshop Series\, which is coming near us this summer! Designed for laypeople\, pastors and other church workers\, the annual series offers in-depth study on contemporary topics that influence the practice of ministry and worship. \nAs part of the 2023 series\, the workshop Principles of Biblical Interpretation for the Parish will be held JULY 13-15. The presenter is Rev. Dr. Jim Voelz who is a graduate professor of exegetical theology and the Dr. Jack Dean Kingsbury Professor of New Testament Theology at Concordia Seminary\, St. Louis. \nDr. James Voelz is currently working on a book designed to teach hermeneutics to interested laypeople in a parish setting. This workshop will present this material to pastors for feedback and discussion on its propriety for parishioners. Laypeople also are welcome to attend.
