Pastor Albers' ministry emphasis is Lutheran Schools. In support of our schools he conducts Board of Education workshops, staff training events, support and development for workers through Beginning Teacher Workshops, Administrator and Spouse Retreats, and Nurturing the Faith gatherings. Monique is the Administrative Assistant for the District President and Congregational Services. She assists the District President with the church worker roster and the calling process for church workers. Additionally, she coordinates projects, organizes local or national meetings and conferences for district schools and congregations in addition to assisting with general district operations. Rev. Juan HormacheaRev. Juan Hormachea

Rev. Juan Hormachea serves as the facilitator of Hispanic Ministry for the Rocky Mountain District. Juan is pastor at Corder de Dios Lutheran Church, Denver, Colorado. He graduated from Concordia Lutheran Seminary in St. Catherine, Ontario, Canada in 1987. His first Call to serve was in Buffalo, New York at La Santa Cruz Lutheran Church and served as Missionary-at-large in the Eastern District to develop the Hispanic Ministry. His next Call in 1997 was as Associate Pastor at Trinity Lutheran in Lexington, Nebraska to begin a Hispanic Mission. In 2000, he was Called by the Rocky Mountain District. Juan was born in Chile, South America and has resided in the United States since 1978.

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Mark Seifrid is a professor of Exegetical Theology at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. A faculty member since 2015, he earned a Doctor of Philosophy in New Testament from Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton, N.J. (1990); and a Master of Divinity and a Master of Arts from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Ill. (1984). He also holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Illinois in Champaign (1975). He has published major works on justification in the New Testament and a commentary on 2 Corinthians, and is currently writing a commentary on Galatians. He has published numerous articles on Pauline theology and the doctrine of justification — in particular articulating a Lutheran view of justification as drawn from the Pauline Epistles. He taught New Testament interpretation at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky., for more than two decades. He also served as the Ernest and Mildred Hogan Chair in New Testament Interpretation at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

 Reformation Luncheon

for the

 Retired Rocky Mountain District Educators (RRMDE)


A Reformation Luncheon for the Retired Rocky Mountain District Educators (RRMDE) will take place on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Cinzzetti's Italian Market, Northglenn, CO.  The retired educators meet at 11:30 am for fellowship, growth, service, and mutual support.  The Lutheran Hispanic Missionary Institute (LHMI) will be the featured presentation.  Our service action for this luncheon will offer financial support for this LCMS Recognized Service Organization.
