Rev. Allen Anderson
As the District President, Pastor Anderson leads the Rocky Mountain District’s vision of Mercy Witness and Life Together. He also works to maintain unity in doctrine, provides ecclesiastical supervision to congregations and rostered workers. He supports congregations in the call process and provides leadership and direction for the District staff.
Paul’s ministry emphasis is Lutheran Schools. In support of our schools he conducts Board of Education workshops, staff training events, support and development for workers through Beginning Teacher Workshops, Administrator and Spouse Retreats, and Nurturing the Faith gatherings. Through the work of a pool of incredible church worker volunteers, Paul’s Youth Committee creates and sponsors Youth Gatherings to strengthen our youth and their friends.
Monique is the Administrative Assistant for the District President and Congregational Services. She assists the District President with the church worker roster and the calling process for church workers. Additionally, she coordinates projects, organizes local or national meetings and conferences for district schools and congregations in addition to assisting with general district operations.
Business & Administration
Doug is the District Executive for Administration, finances and operations. He has oversight in accounting, human resources, financial reporting, insurance, contractual agreements, property, budget compilation and monitoring. Doug also provides support to congregational Treasurers and school administrators on District related events and operations.
Rev. Juan Hormachea
Rev. Juan Hormachea serves as the facilitator of Hispanic Ministry for the Rocky Mountain District. Juan is pastor at Corder de Dios Lutheran Church, Denver, Colorado. He graduated from Concordia Lutheran Seminary in St. Catherine, Ontario, Canada in 1987. His first Call to serve was in Buffalo, New York at La Santa Cruz Lutheran Church and served as Missionary-at-large in the Eastern District to develop the Hispanic Ministry. His next Call in 1997 was as Associate Pastor at Trinity Lutheran in Lexington, Nebraska to begin a Hispanic Mission. In 2000, he was Called by the Rocky Mountain District. Juan was born in Chile, South America and has resided in the United States since 1978.
